My Question or Issue
I have had zero issue since going to premium until 4 weeks ago where that my Spotify app cant find any playable devices however if i go into the sonos app it plays that way. I have tried rebooting my system on both my sonos and phone. Removed device and reinstalled. Updated everything i can possibly update. This is becoming extremely annoying and definitely off putting
Thanks

Do you use 2.4ghz or 5ghz wifi for your Sonos? It shouldn't make a difference, but given your answer it might.
Hello ,
I have the following Problem .
When i choose an Song in Spotify and try to choose under Devices an SONOS Speaker , then Spotify cant find any SONOS Device.
But after i disable and again enable my Andriod Phone WLAN Connection , the the SONOS Devices was visible under Spotify Devices.
Smartphone : Xiaomi 13 Pro
Router : Fritzbox Cable
WLAN 2.4 GHz
I have a similar problem. The desktop app shows Sonos One and Move 2, but not the Play 1. When I open the Spotify app on my smartphone and select the Play 1, it is immediately displayed in the desktop app and I can play it. Sonos therefore refers me to Spotify.
Hi,
I have the issue on a Samsung Zflip4, but everything works fine on my google pixel6.
What I notice is:
- when Sonons Beam is plugged on intranet, it works like a charm
- on wifi it seems to have issue
- I tried to put everything on the 2.4ghz wifi it worked for an hour.
- I tried to force the IP on the Samsung to be an IPV4, and it seems more stable, but the router also deliver an ipv6, and I have the feeling that it might be the beginning of the issue.
I have to find another router to create my own wifi and try again, but I don't know exactly where is the issue on the Samsung.
I also think that it seems to be Samsung specific (which represent a lot of phone on the market)
Hope a solution will pop soon!
some Sonos speaker uses only 2.4gHz for internet and local network. (They have 5ghHz but keep it for internal connection to subwoofer or other Sonos system)

Exact same problem on S23. Only started with S23 fine on S22. Galaxy tablet S8 on all same software works absolutely fine. Looks like im using my tablet for the foreseeable then!
Hello,
Looks like all the samsung owners are having the exact same problem, On the Spotify app, All or some Sonos devices suddenly disappear. (I own a S23 ultra, a Z Flip5 asn a Tab S9+. All of these, have sometimes problems). Have tried All, reinstall, change settings, change user, change Network, update network, create a specific Sonos Wifi, you name it...
I have NOTfound any solution yet, but to restart the phone, witch is very annoying because you need to wait 5-10 min.
Problem is not the Network I have changed it from Ubiquiti to TP Link, Linksys and Omada (TP Link pro). And still having same problem.
Problem, must be on a Samsung Setting (probably a Hidden one), but have not found it yet. (A setting related to the network, or Nearby devices)
Hello, I see always all sonos speaker on my spotify app on my Samsung S21 but only the newer speaker like Sonos One or Sonos Move 2 are listed on the spotify desktop app on Win 11.First when I open the Spotify app on my Samsung S21 the missed speaker Sonos Play 1 appeaers suddenly on the desktop app on Win 11.
Same problem. Samsung S24. Need to restart phone to find Sonos.
Any solution?
I have both a 2.4 and a 5Ghz network, and this worked for me: Try to connect to your 2.4GHz WiFi-network, and see if the speakers become available there. If yes, you can change back to your 5GHz network.
I had a similar issue with my system consisting of two IKEA SYMFONISK and a Soundbar. Since the SYMFONISK speakers were configured on my 2.4GHz network and not my 5GHz network, I had to connect to that network in order to see the speakers in Spotify
Found this thread and none of the solutions worked for me.
My issue was that I am using VPN on my phone. To solve that, you need to either disable VPN or add an exception to allow Spotify and Sonos apps direct access to the internet.
I had the same issue. It turned out my VPN (NordVPN) active on my phone was causing the connection issue. I temporarily disabled this and the speakers all reappeared in Spotify instantly.
