Unplugging headphones after listening to Spotify messes with speaker/earpiece

Unplugging headphones after listening to Spotify messes with speaker/earpiece

I first asked this question in the support community of my phone's manufacturer. I have a Lenovo Moto G5, running on Android 7.0. After listening to Spotify, I unplug my headphones, letting the music pause automatically (I don't push the pause button myself). A lot of times the earpiece/speaker audio stops working after this, and to fix it I have to reboot my phone in Safe mode, check voicemail to see if it works again, and then reboot the normal way.

The fact that audio works in Safe mode, and that it happens after unplugging my headphones after listening to Spotify, led me to believe that the issue is caused by Spotify.

Is there a way to prevent it from happening, or fix it in a more efficient way than rebooting into Safe Mode? And is this recurring issue? If so, where can I do a request for fixing it in an update?
