Why can't I sync my laptop and devices on different WiFi connections?

I have 3 WiFi routers, but spotify only syncs on one of the WiFi connections . Why??

Why won't it sync on any others??

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

To sync your device with Spotify, both the device and your computer need to be connected to the same WiFi network. That is just the way the system was designed, I'm guessing since it makes the devices easily visible to each other.

Instructions on how to sync your devices with Spotify are here.

Yea I know that, but its not working.

Let me give you an example.

I took my laptop to school connected both my laptop and my phone to the wifi there and it still wouldn't sync.

you could say that the school might have a restriction on it ok then.

Another example.

I have 3 different wifi connections I connect my phone and laptop the same Wifi connection and out of the three it only works on one and it won't sync my files in any of the others why??

That is weird, if you are using Windows, are all those networks set as "Home Networks" and have Spotify allowed through the Windows Firewall?

It could be something to do with the router settings to! Are they all connected directly to the internet or is one a main one?
