Why doesnt what im playing show up in my notifications?

I know that a music bar with what you are playing is supposed to show up in my notifications and lock scren. And there is nothing there. Is there a way to turn this on and get it to show up?

If your'e running android 6.x, go to settngs/notifications/advanced and check that the permissions are set as you wish for spotify.

Thanks for the advice Joe! I tried this and it fixed the problem completely.

Glad I could help. Marshmallow gives us so much fine-grained control over what apps can do that it can be bewildering sometimes 🙂
