Why is Spotify now forcing shuffle play on my tablet?

I got Spotify on my Kindle Fire earlier this year and I've loved it because it has allowed me to play whatever specific song I wanted, unlike Pandora which makes you listen to tons of songs and ads in the hopes that you'll someday get the one you want.

Tonight I was going to listen to a song that and I had in mind and discovered that it won't let me play whatever song I want and it is only allowing me to listen to my songs on shuffle unless I upgrade. What the hell is this? Did this come with an update? If this is permenant I will stop using Spotify because it is useless like this.
