Why is Spotify using so much mobile data? It's just too expensive to use!

I use Spotify mainly over Wifi and when I'm out I ONLY use downloaded playlists. So WHY does Spotify use huge amounts of mobile 3G data? If this is how Spotify is supposed to work I can't use it. It's just too expensive! Why isn't there a WiFi only option for data in settings?

Thanks but the whole point of this thread is that we don't want to have to keep manually switching "offline mode" on and off. We want it to only use mobile data when connected to wifi as the control says.

Hello everyone,

In 'Online mode', Spotify is also downloading album art etc.

To prevent this, you really should enable Offline mode while listening to your offline playlists.

Thanks Vincent, yes I know, that is the problem. We don't want to have to keep enabling/disabling offline mode. We want it to download only on wifi.
