I have a Yamaha RX-V675 with an internet connection and connected to my router and an iPhone and Galaxy s4 both with spotify premium connected to the same router in the same network, but the receiver didn't show up as a device when i touch the button for spotify connect.
Already installed the latest firmware 1.46
Did a factory default on my receiver
Checked the connection in my network, all devices are in the same network and IP range. Yamaha receiver app works on both devices and i can also stream music with dlna from the galaxy.
Did a reset of my router, checked if upnp was on and also tried a factory default.
Still the receiver didn't show up as a device in spotify connect.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Same happened to me! Problem was that somehow the receiver screwed up the IP and reset the IP to default. This is what I did...
Went to the receiver webpage. switched off DHCP and reset the IP to it's original group range. then switched DHCP back on again and tadaa!! working like a charm. I wanted to blame Ziggo as well but I found out really quickly that they were not to blame. The Yamaha screwed up.
I've had a similar problem connecting from IPad to Yamaha RX-S600D.
The Yamaha Control App did not find the Amp either until I entered it's IP address - then fine.
My network was
Internet -> Modem -> TP-Link Router -> Switch -> Yamaha
I
V
TP Link Wireless Access Point -> IPad
The solution I found was to make sure that AirPlay worked.
The Amp was switched to NET/Airplay and then Airplay was enabled on the IPad (By swiping up to the "status display" and using the AirPlay Icon).
The Ipad then found the Yamaha.
Next I switched back to the Spoitify App and the "Connect" icon came online.
I switched the Amp to NET/Spotify and Connect has worked fine ever since.
Thank you so much for sharing. That did it for me as well. Of course not before I tried a million other things. Glad I stumbled across your post. I was getting ready to cancel my premium account thinking it would no longer work. Thanks again.
Hi Guys, i have similar problem. Use my Spotify on RX-V675 too and it was working well. Until approx. one month ago, the Spotify can't connect to RX-V675 anymore. It shows note "only premium avaliable" but the issue is, i have premium and it has worked well for months....
Try to update the receiver. There is an update available from the beginning of January. Without this update spotify connect wont work anymore
Ok, thank you for your help. Best regards, J.
Not yet... I think i did not Update like for 2 years and it worked well...
I works! Everithing is well now!
