can't log in it says something went wrong

can't log in it says something went wrong

I bought a new phone and installed spotify. When I try to log in it says "something went wrong" try again. It was working at my old phone. I tried to uninstall and reinstall, clear data, rebooting, use mobile data or wi-fi, give all the permissions, auto start, installing without a SD card, removing battery limitations etc. Nothing helped me. It works at my pc btw.

Ive tried to log in on my android app but it fails and displays a prompt saying "something went wrong" no information on what went wrong or it completely lies and says I have no internet. Spotify works on my PC just fine but I would like to listen on my phone. What is the fix.

Hey @TheFaruk,

Sorry to see this has been happening to you!

Could you let us know if you're using the same sim card you were using in the old phone? And are you in the same country?
Can anyone else can log into their account from your mobile app? If they can, we might be dealing with an account issue here.

And, on another note, are you maybe using any VPN services? VPN can interfere with the app's functionality and might cause the described issue.

We'll be on the lookout for your response 🙂

Im using same sim card and the same country and no vpn and no one can log in from my phone.

Thanks for letting us know @TheFaruk!

In this case this might very well be a phone issue.

Has a factory reset been done on the device recently or at all? If not, we can try this out and, by the looks of the issue nature, it should help out!

Note: You can check if there are any pending Android updates first.

Keep us posted!

Thanks for the help but none of these helped me. I downloaded older version of system and it worked. I was using Miui 13.0.10 I think that was the problem.
