what happened to the search bar in Android?

My Question or Issue

 the search bar  at the top of the app window has been replaced by having to go into the 3 dots and using the find option, i'm not sure who thought this was a great idea but its made the app less user friendly. 

Is it possible to turn it back on?

Unfortunately, it's currently not possible to re-enable this option.

However, you can let the right teams at Spotify know that you'd like this option by adding your +VOTE on this idea in the Spotify Community ideas exchange. Make sure to keep an eye on that thread for the latest update!
