Ads in Premium

I listen to a selection of podcasts every week. I've had Premium for just over a year, and now I'm getting unskippable ad reads embedded in the podcasts. I'm not talking about the live reads from the hosts from their sponsors, I'm talking about LOCAL ads targeting the area I live in. Some of them, I even know the air talent doing the ad, as I live in a smaller town and spent 15 years in local radio. I spend the money on Spotify Premium so I DON'T HEAR ADS. What the heck gives here?? Super annoyed, and may drive me to cancel my subscription.
