[Desktop][Bug] Songs will only play if I add them to my own playlists

So to clarify a bit more from the title. Unless I put the songs on one of my own playlists, they will not play. Randomly browsing spotify and hitting play does nothing. If I'm currently listening to a song on my playlist and hit play on a song on Recommended/Random Album etc it will stop playing the song from my playlist and just not play anything.

Anyone dealt with anything like this? Fully up to date etc - also, this problem is very recent, within the last couple weeks.
