How does playlist SEO work

How does playlist SEO work

I would love to hear some insights regarding what your experience has been with your playlists SEO and growth. A little bit of background:

I had a playlist that suddenly started gaining organic followers out of the blue and daily listeners were solid 400-500 listeners a day for over 1,5 years. Then out of the blue, that specific playlist "lost it" in one day. Growth stalled, listeners dropped. I haven't had this kind of playlist experience ever with any other playlist. Hence I'm still sort of unsure what was the main driver - was it playlist search SEO position? Was it artists Discovered On? Some links on the internet? All of these? Not sure.

But in general the "battle for the playlist SEO" seems to be an ongoing thing and there are lots of people who are doing everything they can to beat other playlists within any search term to get their list to this kind of growth.

However there seems to be very little information available regarding how the playlists are actually evaluated. What is the logic behind playlist growth? Is it about the popularity numbers of the songs on the list? Is it about how many songs are there on the list? How many different artists? So many open questions.

Would be great to hear of your experiences - have you had playlists that have grown on their own and brought lots of listeners daily? What has made those lists different from your other lists that haven't reached such popularity? Have you noticed that your growth has stopped at some point? Did you change something in your list when that happened? Did you manage to get your list grow again in future?

Playlist growth is a complex puzzle, and there's always more to learn. Have you encountered similar patterns?

Playlist SEO can be a bit mysterious, but it's fascinating to analyze its impact on growth. Your experience with a sudden drop in followers for a popular playlist is intriguing. Playlist growth can be influenced by factors like search SEO, featured artists, and external sources. It's tough to pinpoint the exact driver.

I've had playlists that experienced organic growth, but it's unclear what made them stand out. When growth stalls, I've made changes like adding new songs or promoting through different channels.

CTR manipulation may also be helpful for playlist growth. Click-through rates can indirectly impact visibility and engagement.

Playlist SEO is indeed a fascinating yet mysterious realm. It's awesome to hear about your experience with your playlist – the sudden surge of organic followers and daily listeners must have been so exciting!

I've been tinkering with my playlists' SEO and growth for a while now, and it's been quite a ride. Initially, I focused on optimizing my playlist titles and descriptions with relevant keywords, which seemed to help a bit. Sharing my playlists on social media platforms and engaging with listeners also gave me a boost. Collaborating with fellow music enthusiasts and getting featured on some curated playlists definitely played a role too. It's still a work in progress, but it's exciting to see those little growth spurts. By the way, I stumbled upon some interesting insights over at https://www.pixelocity.com that might intrigue you as well.
