I've seen sorround sound on Spotify, But does it work correctly?

When you go to use the Android app, at the equalizer on settings, there is an option to turn on and manage sorround sound in which (I'm not sure) may be similar to dolby atmos. I tried playing it on a few songs and I noticed the difference from playing with just stereo. Though I'm not really sure whether or not it works correctly or if im using it right. I need clarification please 🥺🙏🏾
