Let other apps play in the background while Spotify is open

On iOS at least, If I’m listening to something from another app like a video from YouTube playing in the background, when I switch to Spotify that audio is paused and Spotify is prioritized. That’s the case any time I open or switch to it. It’s pretty annoying to not be able to search and add songs to my Spotify playlists while listening to them from somewhere else. Spotify is the only music app i have that does this. Please consider fixing this as this is really annoying.
