ALLOW US TO ADD EACH OTHER AS USERS WITHOUT FACEBOOK! I already disliked the fact that they were using that to attach to over the free speech platforms. Then, after they fused the ability to find your Spotify friends, the Spotify team seemed to think that it was a great and novel idea to REMOVE THE ABILITY TO ADD FRIENDS WITHOUT FACEBOOK! wth IS THAT?!
Most people would say, "big whoop" and "just get Facebook" to me. I deleted it years ago. I have many grievances with Facebook, Metaverse as a whole, as well as social media as an existing entity, which cast a deep influence on humanity.
I'm not going to get into my seething hatred for these platforms or what I see, so negatively, in them all. My single sanctity from that clicky, fad starting, AD upbraiding, sad excuses for platfroms IS SPOTIFY! MY FAVORITE PLATFORM! So please, if any singular Spotify employee reads this, SPREAD THE WORD!
I have been a user since the initial upbringing of the program. (despite what my profile here on communities says) This forced necessity to have Facebook is the opposite of having a free or open platform for real music lovers to find and share music. Which is exactly what Spotify seemed like it was going to be...until this in-divine merger. I never would have expected to see this music platform become inseminated by some garbage P.O.S. thing like Facebook. Or still getting adds when you pay for the app.
What sparked this in the chat today is the fact that I am constantly slapped in the face by how toxic things like Facebook and Corporate advertisement are. It's sickening that I can't do so much as a simple Spotify to Spotify interaction of adding a friend. Makes me curious how tipped into the spectrum of corruption from the Facebook influence you, Spotify will become. I can see it through the lens Spotify has presented with it's changes over time. It has evolved into a seemingly enslaved apparatus in which I used to experience freedom at every inch of the application. I know this shouldn't seem like a big deal, but it IS! IT STARTS WITH THIS! How long until you guys get bought out entirely? Then we'll lose the app. Because "Metaverse", using it's tactics that are ludicrously similar to the US government employ, can't see what they are doing to humanity. They are blinded by the pursuit of continually hitting a profit quota!
I wish you all luck, love, and to fix this issue. Which it is. It's like taking a step back. Please stay my favorite app on my phone.
