The updated remote listening feature is awful.

Me and my friends absolutely loved what Spotify added ca. 2 years ago.

That you can share a spotifyQR with people and they just have to scan it and now anyone can add songs to queue, change songs etc etc. The possibilities were endless.

They seemingly updated this a couple of weeks ago and it's horrible.

Before, it took us maybe 20 seconds to make sure everyone scans the QR and we can all queue songs. Yesterday, and im not joking, we fu**ed around with it for 2 hours. Literally not one of us (out of 7 different people trying) ended up connecting to the phone that had the music playing. The link that supposedly adds you to the remote group session just straight up doesn't work.

On Android it throws you either into the Spotify app and nothing happens or into the Google App Store where it asks you to download Spotify. Same story on IOS devices. (Also it doesn't matter where or how you share it, the link just doesn't work)

So good going Spotify, out of all the horrible updates you've given in the last couple of years, you took away the one thing i truly thought was groundbreaking and amazingly simple with Spotify, listening with friends on one phone/session.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JUST PLEASE BRING BACK THE QR SCANNING FUNCTION ON REMOTE SESSIONS.

Dang. I didn't think that the actual group session ability was messed with; I thought the numbers of people that could join was just changed, along with the option to for others to connect to your smart speaker. I like the original Spotify code was pretty cool. The Q.R. code, for the group session on a smart speaker is cool, too. I just wish Spotify would bring back the regular Spotify code, for the group session that's not started with the use of a smart speaker (at least at first). I'd like to be able to use it, soon.
