Trouble playing successive podcasts

I’m using apple car play to listen to Spotify in my truck (got a new truck a week ago, first one with car play). I used to be able to turn on a podcast and it would play each episode one after the other. But now it plays one and when that one is over it stops and goes back to the beginning of that episode. It does not restart but nothing plays. I do have auto play turned on. I have updated the app as well.

Yes I am having the same issue. Podcasts used to continue on to the next one but lately they are simply stopping at the end.

There are new podcasts available but it won't automatically go to the next one.

Sometimes they will go back to some old podcast at random.

This seems like a persistent problem. I pay for a family premium plan on this service when I could be using the regular podcast app on my iphone or paying for some other service whose queue actually works. Wish someone would fix this.
