Why does spotify add artists to my playlist?

New frustrated premium member.  I like to go to concerts that have multiple artists playing and create playlists for the artists that are going to be there. Why does Spotify add a bunch of music from other artists? This is easy to do on Apple Music and I might have to switch back if there’s not a solution. I saw another post talking about this but the moderator gave no answer.  Ideas?
