queue randomly clears (windows 11)

hi y'all, i was just wondering if anyone else was having problems listening to playlists on their desktop app. the issue i'm facing is that my queue will randomly clear, and only leaves the song i'm listening to in the queue (refer to the images i've linked). once the song is over, the queue is over.

edit: i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the desktop app, as well as run spotify as an administrator. additionally, when i try playing a recommended song for a playlist, spotify doesn't play it (the play/pause, rewind, and forward buttons go grey)
