"Now Playing" widget on secondary device

Hey there,

is there a way to get a "now playing" widget on a device that not actively streams Spotify but acts as a remote?

My setup while flying stunt kites looks like this:

first iPhone streaming Spotify via Bluetooth to portable speaker - this phone stays stationary (close to the speaker)
second iPhone (which I carry in my pocket) acts as a remote

It would be great to have the now playing widget on the second phone.
