spotify is way too clingy

I cancelled my spotify premium because i’m short on cash, with the intention of renewing it when I get paid. But it literally pops up asking me to stay a premium user EVERY TIME i use the app. not just when i’m starting the app either, like, every time i want to skip a song or anything. i see this pop up basically every 3 minutes. 

i still have my subscription!! i’ve paid for this entire month!! why am i being punished? why are they intentionally making my experience using spotify worse?

this is making me not want to renew at all
