why is the audio book support so bad?

There is no Audio Book support right now, the third party App  „Eary“ was a good tool until the end of august. This and „Lismio“ are no longer running. Do i have to change to Deezer? They provide an extra audio Book App with bookmarks etc. Or are you planing a new App release ?

Audiobooks are a market that I'm surprised Spotify hasn't taken more seriously. A lot of the audiobooks that Spotify carry are buried as 'albums' or as podcasts.

Audiobook listeners on Spotify will always be a minority as it's such a chore finding them!!! 😀

Spotify ist nicht gerade für die Umsetzung von Kundenwünschen bekannt. Deezer hat eine dezidierte AudioBook App bei gleichen Kosten und gleichem Umfang an Inhalten. Wird man wohl wechseln müssen.

Is there anyone from Spotify, who can answer the thread starters question ?

Listening to Audiobooks in Spotify has almost become impossible, especially when you want to continue listening to the Audiobook, if you e.g. listened to music before.

Apps like "EARY" or "Lismio" did a great job for this. Why does Spotify no longer support these Apps or even try to solve this problem by improving there own App?
