Does Car Thing work with a Starbucks Partner plan?

My Question or Issue

Hi! I have a Spotify Premium plan that I get through my employer, Starbucks. As I understand, Car Thing can only be used with a monthly recurring Premium plan. I was wondering if I am eligible to use Car Thing? The Car Thing FAQ page just says it can’t be a plan paid for with a gift card

Thanks for posting in the Community.

It all depends on how your employer activates the Premium time on your account - is it a recurring subscription or a monthly top up?

If it is a recurring subscription, then you'll be able to use a CarThing.

Hi Dian, after contacting Spotify Support on twitter and asking them, I was informed that Spotify Partner Premium plans (aka starbucks) does not qualify as a monthly recurring plan for Car Thing. They told me I would have to get my own premium plan. Cheers!
