Use agents to create a unique Personal Podcast

Loneliest_Cabin

Hey Community 👋

I’m here to share something we've been building for a while, and it launched today: a way to save the Personal Podcasts you create with your agent directly to your Spotify Library.

Prompt to audio file to SpotifyPrompt to audio file to Spotify

So, what actually is it? In short: it lets you use your agent (OpenClaw, Claude Code or OpenAI Codex) to create Personal Podcasts and save them directly to Your Library on Spotify. For example, if you are planning your week, you can create a quick Daily Brief for your morning. It can flag meetings that need prep, check the weather, and recommend something great on Spotify to listen to on your commute.

Why would you actually use this?

This one clicked for me when I thought about my mornings. I want to know the weather, catch up on the information I really care about, hear what's happening locally, and be reminded about what’s on my personal calendar for the day. Now I can ask my AI agent to build me a daily morning brief that pulls all of that together and drops it straight into my Spotify library, ready to play when I'm sitting with my coffee, or dropping the kids at school.

But it really doesn't stop there. The range of what you can create is genuinely open-ended. A few things we think work especially well:

  • Daily briefs - A morning show built around your life. Local weather, your calendar, the important things you've filtered yourself. Fresh every day.
  • Topic deep dives - Ever wanted a proper audio explainer on something you're suddenly curious about? Just ask your agent and give it some direction.
  • Trip plans - Heading somewhere new? Have your agent put together a personalized travel audio guide before you leave.

To get started

  1. Open the Save to Spotify CLI GitHub page on desktop and follow the installation instructions.
  2. You will be prompted to sign in to Spotify via your browser.
  3. Once setup is complete, the tool is ready to use.
  4. Describe the Personal Podcast you want to hear and ask your agent to save it to Spotify.
  5. Open the link provided to listen from Your Library on Spotify.

Some prompts to get you started

Here are a few to try - feel free to make them your own:

  • Create a daily personal morning brief show for me on Spotify. Include weather, important events, and what’s on my calendar for the day.
  • Make me a round-up of all the latest restaurants and bars that are opening in my city this month.
  • Make me a deep dive on the French Revolution for my upcoming exam. Pull from my class notes, textbook highlights, and photos. Walk me through causes, key moments, and the people who mattered.

A few things worth knowing

The tool connects to your preferred AI agent - it works with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, OpenClaw, and others - and once it's set up, you just describe what you want. The agent handles the content generation and saves it directly to Your Library. For the step-by-step setup, our Support page has everything you need.

Your personal content lives in Your Library and no other Spotify users can see or play it. You can also customise your shows with cover art, chapter images, and links to Spotify content or external sites, which makes the whole experience feel really polished when it comes together.

This is a beta, so we're still learning and iterating. There are usage limits, and those may change over time. Content needs to be talk content - not music - and our standard content policies apply.

Now we want to hear from you

What are you making with it? Which prompts are working well, or surprising you? What do you wish it could do that it can't yet? Drop your thoughts, your creations, and your questions below.
