Values Week 2025: Wrapped

MateusM

Hey everyone 👋

Let me tell you, Values Week 2025 was something else. If you’ve been around the Community for a while, you probably know what this week is all about. But in case you’re new here: Values Week is when we, the Spotify Stars, take a few days to slow down, connect, and celebrate the things that keep this space running strong: Respect, Fun, Inclusion, Teamwork, Responsibility, and Support.

This year marked the 5th anniversary of Values Week (yep, five years already!), and I gotta say, it’s been such a fun ride. Each day focused on one of our core values, and we had different events that brought us all a little closer. So here’s a quick peek at what went down 👇

Monday:
We kicked off Values Week with some playful spirit. Day one was all about Fun, and we started things off with a lyric-matching game that got everyone jumping in. We played the Lyric Chain Game, where someone drops a lyric, and the next person follows it up with another lyric that somehow connects. Theme, mood, even just a sneaky word.

The forum turned into this huge, living mixtape full of surprises. You know that feeling when someone else drops a line from a song you love but totally forgot about? Yeah, that. Over and over again.

Tuesday:
Next we came back to the heart of what makes our Community great: Respect. And how did we celebrate? With a Listening Party hosted by @Jose_M, of course!

We all jumped on a call, shared our favorite tracks, and vibed together. Some of us used fun backgrounds, and we kinda turned the whole thing into a mini carnival. @Nikola had this idea of doing it DJ-style, so most tracks didn’t even play to the end; we just kept the energy flowing. It was chill, fun, and full of amazing music. And yes, the playlist is still up if you wanna check it out!

Wednesday:
Teamwork day, and wow, we rolled up our sleeves. We had the “KB Healers” challenge, where we teamed up to polish FAQ articles, guides, and troubleshooting posts. The Stars jumped into categories they felt most comfortable with, and we got to share edit suggestions, brainstorm solutions, and just get things done.

Shoutout to @Anyk17 and @RayyW0, who were all in for this challenge and helped bring some great updates to life 💪

Oh, and we also got a little behind-the-scenes moment with our fellow Star @Bittencourt, who’s also a DJ! He dropped a post in our special private Stars area sharing what a day in his life looks like: a mix of gigs, playlists, and even fermentation experiments in the kitchen.

Thursday:
Next up, the focus was Support, not just the kind we give others, but also the kind we give ourselves. We had a wellness session hosted by an awesome speaker called Todor that really hit home.

We talked about stress, the different ways it shows up, and how to recognize when we’re running low. There was a breathing exercise that was super relaxing, plus some great podcast recommendations for anyone who wants to dive deeper into self-care. A much-needed pause in the middle of the week.💆‍♀️ I love that things like this are on offer to us in the Stars Program!

Friday:
For that Friday feeling, we came in strong with the value Inclusion. @Luan posted a blog about how music shapes our days, and wow, the stories people shared were beautiful. From routines to emotions, music really is everywhere.

We also brought back one of our favorite team activities from last year: the Tag Team Support challenge. It was teamwork + inclusion in action. I got to team up with @ribezaz and @Billy-J, and we worked together on two help posts. Other teams, like @Jose_M and @Amay, were also on fire! There’s something really cool about solving things together, it makes the whole process feel even more meaningful.

Saturday & Sunday:
The weekend wrapped things up with a focus on Responsibility. And honestly, the comparison between Spotify Stars and DJs couldn’t have been more perfect.

@ribezaz wrote an awesome post in our Stars area about how being a Star is like being a DJ, you listen, read the room, and bring the right vibe. Whether it’s solving issues or answering questions, it’s about creating a good experience for someone else.

And to top it off, anyone who contributed over the weekend got double points. A nice little bonus to close the week 🙌 Points are a great perk within the program, that help us work our way to getting extra rewards!

So yeah, Values Week 2025 was packed with connection, laughter, music, learning, and a whole lot of heart. Whether it was editing a guide, sharing a song, or just being present in a call, everyone brought something to the table.

Big thanks to the Mods and Staff who pulled everything together, and to all the Stars who joined in, whether for one event or all of them. You made this week what it was.

Here’s to us, and to living our values not just this week, but all year round 💚

Until next time.

Thanks for the recap, really cool to see how each day had its own vibe. The KB Healers challenge and DJ-style listening party stood out to me. Nice work bringing everyone together like that!

Values Week 2025 sounds like a vibrant celebration of everything the Spotify Stars Community stands for. From lyric games to wellness sessions, the week beautifully weaved music, teamwork, and heartfelt connection into each day’s theme. It’s inspiring to see how fun, inclusion, and support were not just talked about but truly lived through collaborative activities and personal dog whistles sharing. What a powerful way to highlight community spirit and keep the values flowing all year round!

Wow, it sounds like Values Week 2025 was amazing!I love how much focus there was on support, self-care, and wellness — those small moments really make a difference for our energy and mindset. It reminded me of this article I read about benefits for small business employees — it talks not only about perks but also about promoting health and well-being at work. Programs that support stress management, wellness sessions, or flexibility can really help people stay energized and motivated, just like your wellness sessions during Values Week! It’s inspiring to see a community balancing fun, teamwork, and self-care — that’s the kind of culture that really sticks.
