Add all the songs of an artist to the play queue

Hi!

I'm new to Spotify and I can't find a way to do what I usually do in Deezer or YouTube Music, it's really frustrating 😅. Is there a way to make a Play Queue with all the songs from an artist including its featuring at once? Not only the 20 or so most popular songs you can find in "This is (name of the artist)", but all the titles available in Spotify. You can do it easily on the other platforms, why is it so difficult here?

Hi there @MariePP,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out!

In general, the big green Play button should play the artist's entire discography. If they have a "This is" playlist, however, the app will instead play the 5 most popular tracks by the artist, and then continue with the "This is" playlist.

You can use the following workaround on the desktop app to play an artist's entire discography (even if they have a "This is" playlist):

1. Go to the artist page of the artist you'd like to listen to.
2. Click on their Discography, then switch to List view in the top right corner.
3. Now play any song you want from the list - this will queue the rest of their discography as well. You can listen to it in order or in shuffle mode.

I tried your workaround from the desktop app but it will only queue 1 or 2 more albums, not the entire discography. I understand there is no easy way to do this then. Let's hope there will be in a future update!

There is no "list view" within discography.  And since one of the last updates, when yo veiw an artist in your library, its lists all albums seperately so you can't even just go to your library and play through all their songs without making a playlist.  I don't want to have to make a playlist just to listen to all songs from an artist album by album

The List view button is located in the top right corner of the desktop app / Web Player when viewing an artist's discography:

Another way to play an artist's discography (which also works in Grid view) is to press the Play button on an album from the artist page - the app will queue the rest of their albums as well:

Note that these methods are not supported in the mobile app at this time.
