Artists music is gone from spotify

I used to listen to a lot of music from this little under 1000 subscriber artist but now it says his music is unavailable even though it still shows up in my library its greyed out

Sorry to hear. Most likely he did not want to pay to be on Spotify anymore. There are many reasons why he could of left, this is only one. It is greyed out because Spotify still recognizes him as an artist, but no longer holds his music.
