My Question or Issue

I've been listening to a song for a while now, but suddenly it became greyed out but was still in my library. Now it is now longer in my library, but not greyed out anymore and when I press the song to play it, it comes up then stops and says content no longer available. How is this happening and how can I fix this?

Hi there! Welcome to the community, and I'll try to explain the reasons that likely led the songs to become unavailable on the platform.

When you come across a song that was previously available but suddenly can't listen to it on Spotify anymore, it's likely that the song has been removed at the request of the rights holders, record label, or artist. This type of situation can occur for various reasons, such as copyright issues or regional licensing agreements.

Spotify is a platform that cares deeply about respecting the rights of artists and content owners. Therefore, when there are legitimate requests to remove songs, Spotify promptly complies to ensure compliance with agreements and copyrights.

In some cases, songs may be released only for certain geographic regions, which can also impact the availability of tracks in some countries. These regional restrictions are part of the contracts between Spotify and record labels, aiming to comply with specific regulations and legal terms in each region.

As a leading music streaming platform, Spotify continuously works to offer a wide and diverse catalog of songs, providing the best possible experience for users. However, in situations where songs are removed, it's important to understand that this usually happens for legal and contractual reasons.

Rest assured, Spotify continues to strive to give you access to a vast repertoire of incredible music, ensuring that the experience of discovering new artists and music genres remains exciting and enriching. The platform continues to work in partnership with artists and record labels to bring the best music to millions of listeners around the world, respecting copyrights, and striving to offer the best musical experience possible.

Mimo istnienia takiego albumu nie mogę go odtworzyć ani żadnej z piosenek z tego albumu

Flowerboy by tyler, the creator
birds in the trap sing mcknight by travis scott (explicit version)
AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP by A$AP Rocky (explicit version)
(last two are available, their explicit versions aren’t available)
all those three albums aren’t available for me to play , this is what i know off

my account region is egypt

these albums were never available from the start (at least to my knowledge) unless they were well over 5 years ago

i checked other people talking about this and someone said could be a location issue and will be resolved soon, well it’s been about 3 years and still nothing

guys there is a great artist called lenny lavish, i used to listed to his song creed everyday, this song helped me out through very tough times, if anyone knows him tell him not to stop, hes one of the best artists i ever listened to

I have listen to "I've Got Confidence" by Sherman Andrus since Aug. 18, 2017 and now I can longer listen to it. Please help. Also I would love to add Reba Rambo "Reality" to my Gospel play list. I have over 230 gospel songs that I listen to every day. So it is not like I do not listen this play list.

Sonya Schulze

I listen to Splendora's entire back catalogue everyday for weeks on end until I get bored of it because Daria is life and today I went on the app and it's all gone. I'm crying whyyyyy.

I need to listen to turn the sun down today otherwise my life is over!

This album isn't playable anymore, does anyone know where I can find it or why it was removed?

Getting really sick of this happening man, I'm starting to question my choice to pay 12 pounds a month to have all my favourite songs be unplayable.

Did you ever get an answer to your question, I seem to have lost at least 50% of one of my playlists.

and many more

I would suggest sportify to be more easier to make something like official artist playlist.

By the way i am a Family package user. I hope this kind of post can be reduced in future.

And last, understand there might be missing song, so would suggest Spotify can make a site or a place to share what song is missing instead of keep open the thread. Apologise if have this but i can't find any where from app or the official site.
