Different versions of songs on iPhone and Mac

So I've started listening to my Spotify "Favorites" playlist on my iPhone, my Amazon Echo, and my Mac desktop, and I've noticed that depending on which I'm using, it may play different versions of a song. For instance, I have my favorite version of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture on my playlist, but it only plays my preferred one when I'm listening on my computer. I've seen other people ask about why they get different versions of songs and it has something to do with licensing. But if that was the case, wouldn't it change on all my devices?

Does anyone have any info?
