Thanks for the question and welcome to the Community.

Short answer here - yes, the minutes on mute will be counted towards listening stats. The app does not have the capabilities to track volume levels on the hardware it's running, so the mute will not affect the stats.

thanks for the reply, but to make sure we're on the same page, by "on mute" i meant the sound was muted on the app (with the slider on the bottom right) not the hardware. sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes, even when muted from the slider in the app, it still counts the minutes listened to.

Elena, just to clarify.  I can stream a playlist on Spotify on mute?  I keep hearing that the volume has to be up 50%.

Thanks for the post.

As long as the song gets streamed for more than 30 seconds it will count towards your Wrapped. It doesn't matter if you play it on mute or at full sound.

Hi dose time while using over long periods of times where device is not touched/moved such as listening to music to fall asleep or listening to music while you're sleeping count to Spotify wrapped?
