How do I stop unwanted Spotify additions to MY playlists in Premium.

A playlist that has been stable for years has recently started adding unwanted songs. Very annoying. I have a premium account. Would be grateful to know how to disable. Thanks

You have a symbol you hit (the two crossing arrows) that shuffles what you're playing...be it an album, playlist, etc. That symbol can be hit more than once giving you three operational modes. The modes are 1) OFF - Your content will play the tracks from your selection consecutively. 2) SHUFFLE - The symbol turns green and only shuffles songs within the selected playlist. 3) SMART SHUFFLE - The green symbol adds a star to its top left corner and will now add additional songs to your shuffle based on similarity to the content of what you're playing.

Thanks for going to the trouble of replying, Voorple. I am using an iPhone and the crossed green arrows symbol only has two options: off (white) or green with a dot underneath. There seems to be no way to have shuffle play without Spotify's unwanted intrusions.  I resolved this problem a couple of years ago (I forget how!), but nothing doing this time. Appreciate your kindness, though.
