How to retrieve song that I accidentally removed from an official playlist

Solved!

How to retrieve song that I accidentally removed from an official playlist

Hi there. I was listening to a playlist created by Spotify. While listening to one of the songs I accidentally pressed the remove button on the bottom left corner next to the heart button. The notification says it won't play me that song anymore when I'm on that playlist. What can I do to put that song back on the playlist?

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!

It's currently not possible to remove a song from Spotify's official playlists. By saying that you did that you got us thinking that you've removed it from your Release Radar playlist.

Not to worry, go to the playlist again and if you're seeing this song grayed out  - go ahead and click on the remove button again. This will restore back the song in the playlist

It's also worth checking out this support article!

Hope this helps,

thank you, worked!  i do not see any "accept as solution" clickable button, would like to do that.

cheers

This solution did not work for me. Clicking the "remove" button again in Release Radar did not restore the item. Closing and re-opening Spotify and trying again did not restore the item. The clicking behavior is very odd. Currently a song is showing as removed:

Every time I click it right now, it says "Got it. Next time..."

I then went to a different playlist (Discover Weekly) and started playing a song.

I went back to Release Radar and clicked the remove button, and nothing happens. There is no visual indication of anything going on. Double-clicking says "This content is not available."

I then went to a personal playlist, played a song, and went back to Discover Weekly. Clicking remove now reports "Got it..."

Something very odd is going on.

Hey there @capn_stabn

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community!

Would you mind checking if the same happens on a different device?

On another note, does the same happen if you try removing another song in the same playlist or does this only happen with that specific song?

We'll be on the lookout.

Just ran into this today. What a stupid UI decision! To "undo" a remove, you hit... remove again?... UI could definitely be improved here. I was even on MacOS and tried Edit -> Undo and that did not work.
