Option to upload original songs which are reviewed by Spotify

Many original songs are missing from Spotify which are fan favourites for many. So why not include an option to upload the original song which Spotify can review and publish or reject. And make the limit to 3 uploads for one song so that you're not overwhelmed by uploads.

Thanks for sharing your idea! I can understand how great it would be to have all your favourite original tracks available on Spotify.

Here’s how availability works:

• Music on Spotify is uploaded by rights holders (such as artists, labels, or distributors). Whether a song is available, and in which countries, depends on the permissions they grant.

• Spotify is adding new content every day, so if a song isn’t available now, it may appear (or reappear) in the future.

If you already own the track and it isn’t on Spotify, you can still listen by using the Local Files feature:

• Local files let you import audio files stored on your device into your Spotify library.

• These files will play only on the device they’re stored on (they don’t upload to Spotify’s servers).

Hope this helps explain why certain songs might be missing, and gives you a way to enjoy your favourites in the meantime.
