Hi,
I used to have between 100-200 tracks every friday on release radar, this week I only got 30.
It seems it's the 'default' number when you don't follow lots of artists (which is not my case, I follow almost 2000 artists)
How can I get back to getting all the new releases ?
Thank you !

Hi there folks,
Thanks for all the replies. We've done some investigating on our end and can confirm that Release Radar is supposed to be 30 tracks and that is its usual intended length. If you have or had more songs, we can conclude that this has probably been some sort of intermittent temporary behavior or the list has been influenced by some external factors. We understand that you may prefer a longer Release Radar, so we'll definitely take note of the feedback you've given us in this thread and send it over to the right people.
Hope this clears things up.
I recently hit 1300 followed artists. My "Release Radar" should have around 170 songs but it only has 30.
Experiencing the same issue! Here is the reply I received from Spotify.
"I have checked into this issue further on the backend and it sounds like you’re seeing a recent change we’ve made. Please be informed we’re always testing possible improvements, so you or someone else may see something new or get a limited feature temporarily on the app. We’d really love to hear your feedback so we can pass this along to the proper team. You can also start a discussion and let us know what you think over at the Community: https://community.spotify.com/.We greatly appreciate your full understanding on this matter"
I can't understand how reducing the new release announcements from 200 to 30 is a improvement or makes sense, especially when the membership fee just went up again.
I hope Spotify understands that this is a crucial feature for many listeners and quickly fixes the issue for their hard core music fans!
Please let me know if and when this issue is fixed for you.
Thank you!
this is horrible, 200 tracks was ok, 500 or all would be best as options
As someone who had been getting ~150 new songs in my 200 song playlist every single week for many many years, this isn't right. Correct this now Spotify.
as someone who follows well over a thousand artists this is detrimental to my ability to keep up with all the new releases from those i regularly keep up with, hopefully this is reverted or some alternative solution is found besides the web player method
I appreciate Moderator Joan's input however she obviously isn't hearing what everyone is saying here. We have been getting 200 + songs for years. I say 200 + because I am used to 197-200 initially, then throughout the week songs get replaced.
I feel for the artists who are being affect by this NEW CHANGE. They are of the understanding that their followers receive their new releases in induvidual user's Release Radars. Now we are not. This is going to stifle the growth of smaller artists.
I love Spotify for the richness of it's features. A Release Radar that reflects ALL of the artists we follow is one of those features that many rely on. Otherwise what's the point of following thousands of artists.
Another feature I appreciate with Spotify is that we have an avenue to voice our concerns, and to continuously improve Spotify for every user.
What is the point of giving us this voice if we are not going to behave like a team. Being told that our Release Radar is meant to be 30 songs and getting more is a temporary glitch is untrue and incredulous
I attach a screenshot of various Release Radars I have copied as I didn't have
the time to completely sort them prior to the next one landing
I tried logging out and back in. Unistalling and reinstalling. Nothing changed. I still have 30 songs on my Release Radar
Thanks for that. I have replied with screenshots dating back to the berginning of this year of Release Radars I copied for the exact same reason.
30 tracks is nothing. I signed up for Premium ONLY for this feature. I've never had 30 tracks. So you're just lying. And the changes are most likely due to changes in your internal processes. But you will lose subscribers this way. I'm sure you will.
as a workaround, i found this website which can generate the full release radar. it found 3,000 new songs in the past month for me: https://spotifyreleaselist.netlify.app

Bring back the longer Release Radar for users with... - The Spotify Community
Same problem. Will unsubscribe if not fixed!
Same issue here! RR is updated as usual in web app, but not in mobile version (iOS). If it’s somehow an improvement update, then it supposed to apply on every platform (thanks to god it doesn’t). RR is so far my favourite built-in playlist, please don’t ruin it!
Hi Oscar,
Thank you for your interest in this topic.
I sincerly hope that our release radars will be restored to what we have been getting for years. It was my understanding that we would receive new releases from artists we follow in our Release Radar. Many users follow thousands of artists and are used to getting 200 tracks in their initial release radar. Now that it is being capped at 30 tracks, we have no way of knowing what music is new from the bulk of the artists we follow.
I am concerned for the smaller artists that users are following. Their music will no longer be visible in many of their followers Release Radars if it is capped at 30 tracks.
The voices expressing concern about this change are very loud, clear and united. Nobody is happy about this. More so Spotify is upsetting curators with large playlist followings, large social media followings, music blogs, podcasts and YouTube channels.
So my question is, does Spotify really want to test the resolve of users, influencers, and artists by continuing on this pathway? Where our favourite platform is sending a clear message that we will no longer be informed of new music from artists we are following via our Release Radars. Which is the most efficient means to communicate to users.
Because I am a multi-platform playlist curator I have updated my artist followings in Tidal and Amazon. Apple has to be done manually which I'm a currently working on. I could but won't batch transfer my following to YouTube Music because I do not wish to sign up to thousands of YouTube Channels as well.
Is this what Spotify wishes us to be doing because otherwise we won't capture new music from artists we follow?
Please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD and Spotify. Make it known with whatever influence you have. THE SPOTIFY COMMUNITY is not happy about this.
Maybe we should also contact our favorite artists? We should tell them that our release radar on Spotify has been cut and we currently assume that new music will not reach us because of this. Maybe one or two artists have more power than us. It's not just us who are disadvantaged, many artists are too.
Update to my post from 2h ago. I'm no longer able to load a full playlist even on web app. It shrinked to embarrassing 30 tracks, almost half of it I've already listened in last week's update 😞 And I follow almost 1000 artists. Spotify, thanks for nothing
Yes I agree. The impact has not been felt by artists yet.

That's an awesome app. I'm trying it now. I didn't particularly want to know about 16K songs in the last month so I've adjusted the settings to go back a week and exported 2778 tracks to a new playlist in Spotify.
Necessity is the mother of invention. Spotify you have forced us to find another solution and there it is: https://spotifyreleaselist.netlify.app
This is a great app.. knowledge! First thing I've found that can handle my 3k+ follower count too.
This might be the worst app change I've ever experienced anywhere.... Music is life and going from 10+ hours of music every week to look forward to down to an hour...
