'Song of the Day' Playlist Discontinued?

I'm not sure how many of you actually used or even knew about this playlist, but I used it almost every day.

I had noticed that it hadn't been updating the song for a few days, and then a friend of mine, who uses the web version and saw this, where the playlist showed up as unavailable.

Sure enough, I checked mine, and it's completely gone too.

Did they announce anything about this? Am I missing something?

Keep in mind that the content in Spotify varies over time and between countries, depending on permissions and restrictions of the artist or the rights holders. As an option, you can check your Daylist that updates everyday and the Daily Mixes made for you. 

You can find those playlists by hitting the Search button on mobile or the Browse button () on Desktop/Web Player and then select the category Made for you.
