Spotify plays one song from a playlist, then switches to a random song. Some of the songs that played have never been played on my account at all. This is only occurring on desktop, not mobile.

That's odd. Can you please check what are the connected devices on your desktop app? (it's on the bottom right corner, just besides the volume control)

You can also check your queue, which is also besides the devices icon. If there are songs there, just clear it.
