What on earth has Spotify done to classical music?!

Until recently, when you searched for a composer's work, you would get a reasonably comprehensive list of complete works, with some choice of who performs them.

Now you get an appalling list of sound bites of a few minutes long, gleaned from works at random. 'Top tens', and 'Cosy moments', and Christmas selections. No choice of works, soloists, conductors or orchestras.

Spotify has never really understood classical music, but I have gone along with its eccentricities because I enjoy the broad spectrum of its catalogue - but this is rediculous!!

I hope this is just a short-lived experiment?

I'm afraid your apparent auto response failed entirely to answer my
point.

The recommended article did likewise - it's nothing to do with search,
it's to do with how Spotify organises classical music. They used to do
an adequate job, but that has changed and now it's rubbish!

This is my point



... I do not want Spotify chopping Dvorak's works into tiny cosy sound
bites - that's obscene!!

I have been with Spotify for quite a while now, but if it is going to
dump members who enjoy classical music, I will be gone. Just tried
Deezer and they seem to get it right.

Very disappointed!
