Why are my songs dissapearing?

Why are my songs dissapearing?

I have been a premium account holder with Spotify for a little over a year and I like songs then add them to my liked from radio or my playlist then after a couple of months they dissapear. This is not cool. I'm seriously thinking of switching to another music company. Some of my songs include some of, Anita Baker "Good Love", Johnny Guitar Watson "Ta Ta Ya", Sizzla "For You", and the list goes on and on. Why have thou (Spotify) forsaken me after been as loyal as I can be. What happened and Why; someone please help?

Hey @cevukavata2

The reason is that the artist or their music label has likely decided to remove it from Spotify.

The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.

Spotify wants all the world's music, and they're working hard on making this happen for you. However sometimes agreements can't be reached with the artist or label or a change may happen in music ownership. Sometimes the music is only available in certain countries, while access is blocked to others. Sometimes the album or song will be unavailable temporary, and come back again later.

It is likely these songs were also removed from other music streaming services as well. Usually when an artist removes it from one, they remove it from the others. Sometimes though, some artists will just remove it from just certain services.

If a song has been removed from Spotify, you have the option to still show it in your playlist so you can keep track of it, but it will be greyed out. Go into the Spotify app settings and there should be an option to show "unavailable songs".

Note: I'm not a Spotify employee.

I have the sane problem. Last week I had around 2.5k songs in my liked playlist. As of today, I have 1.4k.
