Why are some songs no longer avalible?

I've been a spotify user for almost 3 years and I love the app and have over a thousand songs saved. Just recently I've ran into the problem that some songs are no longer avalible to play. It's very disappointing seeing that some of the songs are some of my favorite songs. If anyone has an answer to this please let me know. Thanks.

It's really saddening when it happens, but I'll try to explain what is the likely cause:

Artists and labels have control over their content on Spotify. Sometimes songs and even albums may become unavailable due to various reasons, such as changes in licensing.

It is likely that the songs in question will reappear soon again.

There are also occasions where the artist decided not to have this album or that song available on Spotify, or regional restrictions are added.

If you're interested in why this particular song/album is not available, you can ask the artist or label about it. 🙂
