There's this band "Slaves" (UK). They're generally known for being a punk/punk rock band. They have it even in their bio on spotify, and wikipedia. But as good as I see, on spotify they're assigned to modern rock, modern alternative rock and kent indie. So I wanted to know if this small mistake in metadata may be fixed. I heard about Line-In but sadly it was closed long ago, so I am not sure where to go. Thanks!

Hello once again @Corridor
By their own admission, Stats.fm is not affiliated to Spotify.
This means it's unlikely your blend will be influenced by data held on the site.
And as previously stated, the artist's genre is not stated in the Spotify artist page. This means any changes on Stats.fm cannot be coordinated by Spotify.
Hope that's clear enough.
If possible, you could try and contact them to suggest the change you wish to see. Thanks 💚
Good day @Corridor
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "assigned to rock..." because the artist page does not have genres.
Only mention of their genre was written by the artists/reps themselves and goes something like "Raw U.K Punk duo".
It's also important to note that tracks and artists usually fall into many genres simultaneously and I've personally seen the words punk, rock and indie grouped together so many times.
Thanks
Hey, sorry for being a bit of a head in the clouds. I use Stats.fm to see my spotify statistics. It uses Spotify's metadata as far as I know - which means music genres as well. So it's not a big of a problem, but it kinda annoys me when Slaves isn't showing as punk, because it's my favorite band. This will be probably shown in Spotify Wrapped, so I would just like it to be correct, and I wonder if it's even possible to ask for a correction or something like that.
Thanks

How does someone contact Spotify with this kind of issue?
Hi there @JohnPin,
As @Taylith already mentioned, Spotify isn't responsible for inconsistencies related to Stats.fm.
You can, however, reach out to the Stats.fm support through here.
Hope this helps 🙂
Cheers!
