can’t play one specific artist

My Question or Issue

I used to be able to play one artist when i only wanted to listen to their songs but now as of yesterday it will play one song by them and then play songs that are nothing like that artist.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

This type of issue commonly happens when the Autoplay feature is active and you search for a single song of the artist, this will make the app play similar artists/genre suggestions after it, but not exactly the same artist.

If you want to play one specific artist, we'd recommend searching for the artist instead of the track and playing any of the songs you want to listen to directly from their profile.

Also, you can search for playlists created by other users or by Spotify containing the songs of that artist and follow them by clicking the heart button to play it anytime you want.

Lastly, if the issue persists, it could be that some tracks have been added to the play queue by mistake and are the songs that are playing after your selection. to make sure this is not affecting your playback, we'd recommend clearing the Play queue by following the steps mentioned in this article.
