"Couldn't load the lyrics for this song" error

As of version 8.8.20.544 and the version prior to that has caused the lyrics from my personal playlist in my device 'Samsung-SMJ250F' to disappear, at first I thought it was brcause the songs were old but way older songs still had lyrics
The playlist is a private playlist featuring all songs of 'DragonForce'
and after the update none of the songs had lyrics.

same here lyrics used to show before but all of a sudden they have stopped loading 

I have tried clearing the cache, and the data, and reinstalled did everything I could do however nothing seems to work

I also suffer from the same problem and I am somewhat annoyed. I liked looking at the lyrics of the song while listening to it. I first thought the lyrics were not showing up on only desktop platforms. Checked and verified that the issue were present even on desktop, laptop, and phone.. Lyrics don't load for any songs..It always loaded till today.

But even still now, some songs have lyrics loaded normally. Most songs don't show lyrics now, fyi some do.

Literally every song doesn't have lyrics I’m not in online mode . I don’t live in a place where things would get blocked out. Why has all the lyrics died wth.

Yep!  I get lyrics on some songs, but some of them just... don't appear.  Here are some examples from Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) and Viva la Vida.

When I tap near the lyrics option on my desktop it shows couldn't load lyrics

Lyrics worked as normally before, but now most of the songs's lyrics are removed. Its not the app, but my whole account because this issue happend on my computer, phone and website, and they are all up to date. Some songs still have lyrics, but i checked out the testing playlist and not all songs have their lyrics. I would love to get this fixed because the lyrics are one of, if not, my favorite function.

Hi, I'm sorry lyrics aren't showing up for you! According to this post from a Spotify moderator, it looks like lyrics are not available on all accounts and devices right now due to some product changes. I know this answer isn't what you were hoping to hear, but I hope it helps!

It's happening in all songs...
I even tried closing and reopening the app nothing is working

I’m having this same issue across all my devices and accounts. I’m not sure if you have premium or not but I have a feeling it has something to do with that. I’m just basing it off the fact that friends that have premium are not having this issue. Hope it gets fixed soon though.

I have the same issue in Spotify for about a week. When I wrote them, they said that we just need to wait🫥

all songs that doesn't have lyrics should get their lyrics back,,, it doesn't give the karaoke vibes anymore

My Question or Issue

Some songs are not showing lyrics and projecting a ‘Couldn’t load the lyrics for this song’ message. I have researched this problem and found not much similar however i did find that it was most likely due to the lyrics being powered by Musixmatch and they might now have those songs on their system. Unfortunately, when searching these same songs on Musixmatch’s website, they have the lyrics. For example; The song ‘I love you so’ by The Walters has available lyrics on spotify- contrastingly- ‘Concrete’ by Lovejoy does not have these. I have tried turning off the device, logging out and back in and closing the application. 

Anything that will help resolve this would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

I'm from the UK and this is an occurring problem as for some songs it will show lyrics but for most it won't. I have no idea why this is happening as I've been listening for years and I remember when lyrics were introduced and in testing. This hasn't happened. It's annoying.

Some of the songs of black sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne's songs used to have lyrics like the song "No more tears" and now they removed the lyrics
