My Question or Issue

I got the error message “Epic collection, friend. Your Library is all filled up. To save more, you’ll need to remove some songs.” while I would like to ‘like’ (<3) an album. I use this ❤️ button in order to bookmark songs or albums I want to revisit.

However, it seemed to hit 10,000 song limit just on the Linux client (in web player, I can like new songs/albums just fine). This blog post says that this song limit was lifted in May 2020. So I guess this was a bug in the client-side that was not yet removed. (I can understand that Linux Client isn’t the first priority.)

It would be nice if this can be updated in the near future as I mainly use Linux Client to manage my library. And thanks a lot in advance.

I just found out that this is a replication of another report from two weeks ago. I can say that this bug shows up inconsistently (it popped up once for me a few weeks ago too, then it disappeared, the reappeared again just now). Hope that someone can look into this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue in version 1.1.55.498.gf9a83c60 (flatpak) on elementary 5.1.7 (based on Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS, Linux 5.4.22). Not being able to like songs makes the app quite unusable for me, I seriously consider leaving Spotify.

This happened for me when I accidentally opened two Spotify windows; check if you have more than one open.
