Hi @AndreyKaPro

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

To block an artist from playing:

  • Open the Spotify app on your phone.
  • Go to the artist page.
  • Tap the three dots icon_options_iphone.png
  • Tap the Don't play this artist icon_no.png button to hide the artist.

I hope it helps!

This function seems to have been removed? On my Android, it appears sometime in the quick menu. On my Windows-Desktop it is nowhere to be found. I would love for this function to be implemented again.

Hi @RuleVrt

The option to block artists on mobile is available via the three-dots menu on artist's profiles.

After opening it, you should see an option to choose an artist not to play in the app.

You can find screenshot of it here

This function is not available on desktops at the moment, but you're always welcome to submit a post in the Idea Exchange part of the Community.

For more details on how to do it, make sure to check out this Spotify Answer

Have a great day!

why would the functionality regarding likes or dislikes/ block artist be any different dependend on device type, that doesn't make any sense to me.
Please add that feature to the desktop version as well.
Please try to keep the devices as consistent as possible.
I mean i get why the UI needs to be adjusted because of screenspace.
But having different functionality that you simply doesn't have to use if you don't want to shouldn't be a device-related feature.
It is not that that feature is too much work, or for that matter to much to ask for.

Thanks 🙂
