Inhibit suspend while playing

While playing music, the computer shouldn't go to sleep/suspend mode, which will stop the playback.

Please implement inhibiting power management on the Spotify client for Linux.

Testing on Debian 13 XFCE.

1. Disable suspend hibernate, see https://wiki.debian.org/Suspend

2. Install xfce4-screensaver

3. uninstall light-locker.

This is still an issue. I just installed the snap package on Ubuntu 26.04 (KDE). The system went to sleep due to inactivity while music was actively playing. The only workaround I have right now is to launch using `systemd-inhibit --what=idle:sleep spotify`. However, this is suboptimal because it inhibits system sleep the entire time the application is open, rather than dynamically blocking it only during active audio playback.

Same issue here. I don't want to prevent my PC from sleeping, I just want Spotify to prevent it from sleeping when I'm actively listening to music. Plex Flatpak does it fine with video. Firefox does it fine with Youtube. I'm using Fedora 44 KDE.

Me too. For GNOME users, there's a GNOME extension called "Caffeine" that can inhibit suspend/screen blanking automatically when any app (in this case, Spotify) plays media. Might be worth trying out if you're annoyed by it (like I do). Fedora 44 GNOME with the Flatpak Spotify
