Large Cache 256GB to save downloads, is it bad?

I have manually set my cache size to 256Gb are there any negative effects from this apart from what I have noticed. Slow initial start times and using more hard drive space

That's really a lot! Really, one fourth of your total space!

There shouldn't be any other negative effects from those that you mentioned 🙂
