Spotiamp on Linux (under Wine) fails to work after Premium to Premium Family update

Solved!

Spotiamp on Linux (under Wine) fails to work after Premium to Premium Family update

I have had a Spotify Premium account for atleast 7 years, probably longer.

During this time I have heavily used the Spotiamp client under Wine on Linux for roughly the same amount of time. Again, at least 7 years.

Last week I upgraded my account from Premium to Premium family (This account was the one which was promoted as the payment account) and now I am able to login to Spotiamp and see my playlist names.. but I am unable to see the songs on the actual playlist in the playlist window and start the music.

During the login it reports login error -24  (although I think it always did that). Also the presence of my playlists suggests to me it isn't username/password issue. Is anyone able to assist please?

So Spotiamp worked fine for me without issues until the moment I
upgraded from Premium to Family. Otherwise it was great though. Obvously
not in development and website died but I kept a copy of the installer
from back when the site was up. I was renamed from spotiamp to spotiamb
to avoid some sort of Winamp legal issue but otherwise it was the best
player for Spotify users. I even had the milkdrop plugin working before
the issue.

I am interested in this as well. What happened to Spotiamp in general? I'm assuming that it's not only a dead project, but you also can't use the older versions anymore to access Spotify (because of technical changes or active blocking of non-official players)?!
