[BUG] Notifications disappears after a restart of Spotify 1.0.1

Let's say I have 20 notifications.

If I close Spotify and restart it later, all the notifications have disappeared, even those that I did not listen to.

Could you imagine your unread emails disappering after you close your mail reader ? No!

Well it's the same for spotify notifications.

Fix this please. Because of this problem I am missing a lot of new releases / followed playlists updates.

I have this issue on both the desktop and web version. The more I use Spotify the more dissatisfied I get with it. NOT the approach Spotify should want to take!

I have the same issue. Sometimes notifications appear on my iPad, but then when I look at my desktop Spotify, those notifications do not show up, even after restarting. Also, often I am not notified about new releases of artists I follow, and this has been going on for years. This is very disturbing and should have been fixed ages ago.
