My Question or Issue

Is it possible to block an artist on Spotify on the desktop app? All I've found is that you can block artists on a phone app, but I use my premium account through my laptop (attached to bluetooth) to play music at my store.

I'm paying $11 a month for this so if there isn't an option, I will be seriously disappointed.

Hey @31u7fsialvsmwgg4mtrj,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

Unfortunately, this feature is only available on the mobile app at the moment using the option "Don't play this artist". A similar idea was already posted here, if you want to show your support for it, you can add your vote by hitting the Thumbs-up button. We'd also recommend taking its status into account for more info.

Lastly, remember that your Spotify account is just for personal use and it shouldn't be used commercially. You can find all the related info here.

If anything else comes up, the Community is just a post away!

I love smart shuffle, but I hate Cowboy Junkies with a white hot passion. I work on my mac all day and listen to music all day and pay for the privilege. If I can't block them from my computer, the algorithm should at least be such that it stops recommending artists that I continually skip and / or (another pet peeve) songs that I used to have in my playlist but removed. I removed them for a reason... I don't *like* them.
