Can't Reach Settings Without a Proxy to Set Proxies

I have to use proxy servers at work to use spotify. At home I have to turn it off to listen music from preferences. (Yeah I do that everytime) But when you've changed the settings to a new UI I can't reach settings without a proxy setting. What's the logic lies under implementing settings page online which could be reached via proxy? Seriously, why would you ever implement the settings page as a web request?

And am I the only one who fells that with every update the program is becomes more unstable and buggy?

At least on older versions you could unplug the network cable to get a prompt to enter your proxy settings at login. But that doesn't seem to work anymore.

I can't seem to find any form of config file to edit with my proxy settings either. At a bit of a loss right now.
